What Is a Microneedling Roller?
Microneedling can be used for multiple purposes. It can be used for collagen induction therapy and to facilitate product penetration. It is a minimally invasive treatment utilizes a device with fine needles. A 0.25 mm long microneedling roller will create wells inside of the epidermis, allowing the products to easily penetrate up to the basal layer. A 0.5 mm long microneedling device will perforate the entire epidermis.
For optimal effect, microneedling should be combined with highly effective serums, ampoules, concentrates, and/or peels – such as those offered in the Biodroga MD line.
“The micro-injuries you create stimulates the body’s natural wound healing processes, resulting in cell turnover and increased collagen and elastin production, therefore reversing as well as preventing signs of aging,” says board certified dermatologist Sejal Shah, MD.Sejal Shah, MD.
“You’re really building collagen and thickening the skin, so instead of looking good for a few days after your traditional facial, your skin is smooth and radiant for much longer,” explains Beverly Hills-based plastic surgeon Dr. Sheila Nazarian.Dr. Sheila Nazarian
