BioMedical Emporium Bio-Stratum Peel: Recommended for a more comprehensive treatment to address skin imperfections such as discoloration, lines resulting from aging, surface blemishes, or to smooth more severe scarring with the skin’s texture. Also can be used as spot treatments for acne. Medium-strength peels such as those accomplished with trichloroacetic acid (TCA) can be used effectively.
This Peel, Tri-Chloroacetic Acid (TCA) is used to address skin imperfections such as pigmentation, deep lines, surface blemishes and severe scarring.
- Improve skin texture and smooth out acne scarring.
- Constrict dilated pores.
- Discoloration, pigmentation, sunspots, or any sun damaged skin
- Reduce any fine lines, wrinkles, and creped skin.
- The Bio-Stratum Peel Treatment will not necessarily remove or eliminate acne scarring, but it will improve the appearance and contribute to the removal of tattoos.
- Most will peel in thick layers.
- DOWNTIME 7-10 DAYS.

SIDE EFFECTS
- Client will experience a downtime for 7-10 days.
- Client will be flaking after 2-3 days and will continuously do so for 4-10 days.
- Client may feel feverish after the treatment.

FIRST TREATMENT SHOULD BE A 25% BIO-GLYCOLIC PEEL WITH NO MICRONEEDLING. Can do a spot-treatment on acne.

TREATMENT TIME FOR BIO-STRATUM PEEL : depends on how many layers.
Cleanse skin thoroughly:
- Biomedical Emporium FACIAL CLEANSER.
- Apply 1 pump onto fingertips.
- Work into lather with wet hands.
- Leave on for 2 minutes.
- Rinse skin with warm water.
- Repeat cleanse, if necessary
Preparation of skin:
- Biomedical Emporium CONDITIONING SERUM.
- Apply 1/2 pump onto fingertips and gently massage into the skin.
Exfoliate the skin:
First treatment – maximum 1 layer
Second treatment – maximum 3 layers
- Apply 1 layer of Bio-Stratum Peel. The applicator(brush) must only be partially submerged to prevent excess product on the skin.
- Wait for frosting (5-10min). Most people frost but occasionally you may have a client that does not frost.
- Do not massage.
- Apply 2nd layer Bio-Stratum Peel where frosting has not occurred yet and avoid frosted areas. The applicator(brush) must only be partially submerged to prevent excess product on the skin.

Revitalize the skin:
- Biomedical Emporium CONSTRUCT SERUM
- Apply 1 small pump onto fingertips and gently massage into the skin.
Calm the skin:
- Biomedical Emporium® SKIN REPAIR SERUM
- Apply 1 pump on fingertips and gently massage into the skin.
Protect the skin:
- Biomedical Emporium TRANSLUCENT DAY SPF 30.
- Apply 1 pump onto fingertips and gently apply on the skin.
- The Bio-Stratum Peel Treatment will automatically result in inflamed, red, and sensitive skin. It may also be painful, depending on the client’s pain threshold.
- If an adverse reaction occurs during the Bio-Stratum Peel Treatment, apply the following corrective steps: After the Bio-Stratum Treatment, apply the Biomedical Emporium Wound Occlusive. The Wound Occlusive will immediately calm the skin and stop inflammation.
CORRECTIVE TREATMENT IN CASE OF ADVERSE EVENT
Suggested sequence of treatments:
Treatment 1 – Bio-Glycolic Peel. No microneedling unless previously had this peel.
Treatment 2 – 1 layer Bio-Stratum. No microneedling. Must wait 4 weeks until another Bio-Stratum Treatment.
Treatment 3 – Treatment with other products – but not TCA. No microneedling.
Treatment 4 – 2 layers of Biostratum. Microneedling (optional) but not over frosting. Wait 8 weeks before another Bio-Stratum Treatment (except for spot treatments).
Treatment 5 – Treatment with other products – but not TCA. Microneedling.
Treatment 6 – 3 layers of Biostratum. No microneedling.
AFTER 3 LAYERS WAIT A MINIMUM OF 3-6 MONTHS, HOWEVER, CAN STILL DO SPOT TREATMENTS EVERY 4 WEEKS.
HOME CARE
ALWAYS ADVISE YOUR CLIENT;
- DO NOT TOUCH THEIR SKIN WITH ANYTHING FOR 24 HOURS
- DO NOT CLEANSE THEIR SKIN FOR 24 HOURS
- DO NOT DO EXCESSIVE EXERCISE FOR 24 HOURS
- DO NOT MAKE USE OF RETINOL FOR 72 HOURS
- NO DIRECT SUN EXPOSURE FOR 24 HOURS
- AVOID USING MAKE-UP FOR 24 HOURS
- DO NOT PICK AT THE LOOSE SKIN – WILL CAUSE HYPO/HYPERPIGMENTATION.
- MOST WILL PEEL IN THICK LAYERS.
- THERE WILL BE DOWNTIME FOR 8-10 DAYS
- THERE WILL BE FLAKING AFTER 2-3 DAYS AND WILL CONTINUE FOR 4 – 10 DAYS.
- TIGHTENING AND PULLING SENSATION OF THE SKIN IMMEDIATELY AFTER TREATMENT.
- AFTER THE BIO STRATUM PEEL, SKIN WILL BE INFLAMED, RED, SENSITIVE, AND PAINFUL DEPENDING ON THE CLIENT’S PAIN THRESHOLD.
- Clients should only rinse their skin with lukewarm water the morning after the treatment followed by Peptide Therapy and Translucent Day SPF30. Facial Cleanser can be used from the next day in the evenings followed by Wound Occlusive.
- Clients should use Peptide Therapy and Wound occlusive for 3 days then they can continue with their normal skin routine.
- Optional: Skin Repair can be applied in the first 3 days for extra nourishment.
