BioMedical Emporium Melanin 10H

Do not do on first time clients – they must have had some acid treatment prior.

Recommended:

• Treatment 1 – Bio-Glycolic Acid 25% – no microneedling.
• Treatment 2 – Complexion Peel or BioSyntha C Peel – no microneedling OR microneedle Bio-Glycolic 25% plus skin appropriate serum (not GSM).

• Slightly elevate the client during treatment to prevent product seeping into eyes.
• Cleanse with BIOMEDICAL EMPORIUM FACIAL CLEANSER.
• Rinse off cleanser with warm water.
• Wipe the skin with ALCOHOL on a cotton pad.
• Wipe the skin quickly with PURE ACETONE on a cotton pad.
• Take photos for your record.
• Apply 1 ml – BIOMEDICAL EMPORIUM COMPLEXION PEEL and leave on the skin for 10 minutes without massaging or needling. Do not remove the peel. You can use a fan to reduce stinging feeling.
• Pump approximately 25 ml of BIOMEDICAL EMPORIUM MELANIN 10H into a bowl.
• Apply 5 layers of BIOMEDICAL EMPORIUM MELANIN 10H on the skin as a mask (you can apply close to the eyes but not on eyelids). The applicator should be only partially submerged, in order to prevent putting excess product on the skin.   LET IT DRY BETWEEN LAYERS – will dry in about 6 minutes with a fan (depending how thick you apply it. Will take longer without a fan).  It is fine if the Client doesn’t feel the mask – doesn’t usually hurt at all. DO NOT MASSAGE OR MICRONEEDLE.

*If doing face, neck and décolleté – you have 2 options:

• Do only 3 layers OR
• Use 2 BIOMEDICAL EMPORUIUM MELANIN 10H containers.

If client sweats during treatment, dab skin dry.

The client then leaves with the mask on (will be bright orange) – MUST STAY ON FOR 10 HOURS

Client must go home with the BIOMEDICAL EMPORIUM PEPTIDE THERAPY and BIOMEDICAL EMPORIUM WOUND OCCLUSION and the leftover BIOMEDICAL EMPORUIUM MELANIN 10H.

Corrective Treatment If Bad Reaction During/After treatment

The BIOMEDICAL EMPORUIUM MELANIN 10H peel does not hurt during the treatment.  It will automatically result in inflamed, red and sensitive skin after the treatment.  It may also be painful, depending on the client’s pain threshold.

THE ONLY PRODUCTS TO BE USED AFTER THE MELANIN TREATMENT IS THE PEPTIDE THERAPY AND WOUND OCCLUSIVE

HOME PROCEDURE

Client should go straight home and not go into the sun.

The mask will get darker as the day proceeds.

After 10 hours:

• Client must rinse off the mask with lukewarm water, without cleanser, and do not apply anything.

24 hours after the treatment (and for the next 5 days):

• Mornings: Client can do normal skincare routine but must apply BIOMEDICAL EMPORIUM PEPTIDE THERAPY and BIOMEDICAL EMPORIUM’S SPF30.
• Evenings (except when applying BIOMEDICAL EMPORUIUM MELANIN 10H): Client can do normal skin routine, except no retinol for 4  nights and must apply BIOMEDICAL EMPORIUM WOUND OCCLUSIVE on top of their skincare products.
• On the 3^rd night only BIOMEDICAL EMPORUIUM MELANIN 10H should be applied as a night moisturizer. This will be done every 3 nights.
  • Client should wash face, then massage in a pea size of the BIOMEDICAL EMPORUIUM MELANIN 10H.
  • Do not use any other products with it.
  • DO NOT SHARE the with anyone!!!
• The BIOMEDICAL EMPORUIUM MELANIN 10H Treatment has concluded once the product is finished.
• Client can start using BIOMEDICAL EMPORIUM’S RETINOL SERUM on the 4^th This will speed up the peeling process. 

Always Advise Your Client

1. Avoid the sun for 48 hours before and after the treatment.
2. DO NOT PEEL THE SKIN OFF. Skin will naturally peel off.  If long, hanging pieces – client can cut off the loose skin without pulling on it.  Can cause hypo/hyper pigmentation if pulled off.
3. Always wear sunscreen.
4. Do not do excessive exercise for 48 hours.
5. Do not use retinol for 4 days.
6. No acids for 4 weeks after treatment – salicylic acid cleanser is ok.
7. No TCA for 6 months. Do not do this treatment for at least 6 months after a TCA treatment.
8. Do not perform a derma pen treatment for 3 months.
9. Product will stain – wear black.
10. Should start peeling (soft flaking) anywhere from 3-7 days and can peel for up to 7 days.

Typical sensations felt by client

• Day 1 – tingling and stinging.
• Day 2 – dryness and itchiness.
• Day 3 – tightness and crepey skin.
• Day 4-8 – skin will start to peel and slough off. This differs from person to person.

Possible side effects

• Flaking
• May feel feverish after treatment.
• The effected cells must be treated as a “superficial wound”, therefore, the skin must remain moist and hydrated in order to prevent skin tearing.
